In my business I employ twenty of these units at any given time. I have bought from several manufacturers and had similar results. Units used in high demand burn out quickly. They typically last six months. My general advice is do not purchase or use any 12volt dc power converter that does not have a true, three prong, grounded cord. Be warned that many on Amazon show an image of a 3-prong Micky or standard accessory cord but ship with a polarized 2-prong. This was such a unit. Do not buy.
