I searched EVERYWHERE for this charger. I bought one a few years back at a truck stop in desperation (my cheapo car charger didn't charge and I was stuck in an unfamiliar city trying to navigate home with a dead phone). It was my favorite charger because it charged my phone twice as fast as any other charger I had. My husband then "borrowed" it, broke the light, and insists it's always been his. Whatever, it was worth buying another one. I was worried it may be different quality but it's exactly the same and well worth buying again!Work great!I have had mine for over a year now and I love it!! It charges fast and I can use in my car or in the house. I own a limo company so I need to be able to charge customers devices if they ask. This works great! I bought mine at a truck stop because I needed one asap. But am looking tobuy another one as a back up or just to have 2 availableI bought one of these earlier in the year and it seemed to work fine. Back in October it started to "pulse charge" the phones so it wouldn't charge my IPhone or Galaxy right. Called Mobile Spec and they need a receipt and the product shipped back. I don't have a receipt and so now I'm left with more junk for the junk box. Save your money and get something with a name brand. It even says there logo on it. What else for proof would you need?!Pros: Works good for a while.Cons: Only useful now as a butt plug.As long as it works it is great to have in your car or suitcase. However, when the fuse gets blown there is no way to change it. So you can throw it away along with the money you paid for it.I did not purchase my MobileSpec 2.1 Amp Portable AC/DC Portable USB Charger on Amazon - I purchased it at a truck stop ( I drive a truck for a living). I also have absolutely no affiliation with the company that makes these. I was attempting to find out if the price I paid was reasonable (I want to buy a few more every month and give them as Christmas presents next year) when my research brought me to this page - and the review that I saw which gave this item a 2 star. I beg to differ, emphatically! I have had mine for well over 6 months and I use it to recharge both my iPod and my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 EVERY day. I use it in 12V mode in my truck. I have even started using it at home because I find that the charge rate is actually faster than the USB A/C connector that came with the phone. I highly recommend this product. IF it should cease to work for no apparent reason, I will definitely update this review, but for now I am very pleased. It is small, rugged, lightweight and an excellent product that does exactly what it is made for.
